You know, sometimes, it’s really easy to lose track of what you have in a relationship. Sometimes it’s easier to keep watching your movie instead of Skyping with your girlfriend. Sometimes it’s easier to prioritize insignificant things in front of your relationship. It’s a lot easier to take for granted what you worked so hard to achieved and gained. Sometimes, love enters your life and for a while it’s great. But there are those moments where you get used to it; where you forget how desperately you once wanted it. And now that you have it, it’s easy to just say, “Oh it’ll be there when I’m back.” Because what happens if it’s not there? What happens if it’s too tired of being forgotten and lonely? Being in a relationship doesn’t cure loneliness. It takes work and effort to manage it. So what happens if you prioritize Modern Warfare over putting effort into your relationship? Why, you’ve relinquished any stock of a future with her. I admit, I have these moments at times. They’re not proud moments at all, in fact, they are the instances in my life where I am ashamed. Because I realize that if you don’t take care of what you have, someone else will.
